The Dr. Tom Agnew Local History Room features a wide collection of archived materials from Norwin’s past and present including:
- Over 100 years of microfilm newspapers from the Norwin area including
- The Republican Standard and Westmoreland Journal
- Irwin Standard
- Standard Observer
- Times Observer
- Norwin Area High School Yearbooks from 1920 to present
- Old Westmoreland – A 7 volume history of Westmoreland County
- Western Pennsylvania Historical Magazine (1955-1988)
The room is named for Dr. Tom Agnew, a lifelong supporter of the Norwin Public Library and local historian.
