The results are in, and the conclusions undeniable: The Norwin community is the most well read in Westmoreland county.
The Norwin Public Library reached a new milestone in 2025. For the first time in our history, the library circulated over 200,000 items in a single year. 2025 also marks the eighth consecutive year that the Norwin Public Library is top loaning library in Westmoreland County.
It’s hard to believe that ten years ago in 2015, we were loaning just over 160,000 and were third in circulation behind Greensburg and Latrobe (Adams Library), two communities with much larger populations.
In addition to reading more, Norwin residents are visiting the library for all kinds of reasons. Over 8,500 people attended one of our trivia nights, educational speakers, book clubs, craft classes, and storytimes.
