Break The Silence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and the Norwin Public Library is partnering with the Blackburn Center to hold two separate events for the public.

The first program, “Learn about Domestic Violence” will be held on Thursday, October 4th, at 6:30 PM. Take a walk through another person’s shoes while learning more about domestic violence, barriers survivors must overcome, and the supportive services that are available to survivors, loved ones, and the community.

The second program, “Participate in the Discussion” will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 6:30 PM. This program will be a discussion of author Liane Moriarty’s novel Big Little Lies. The novel illustrates the many layers of damage that domestic violence that affect victims, survivors, family members and loved ones. Copies of the novel will be available to borrow at the Norwin Public Library.

These programs, like all of the Blackburn Center’s services are free to the public.
